You also get adjustable features. The pedals can be switched from Accelerator to Turbo drive.
You can also swap the chain drive chain out with a nylon strap to make it a belt drive mechanism.
This is unarguably one of the most high-quality double bass drum pedals on the market. It has such premium design quality, giving you peak performance levels at every step.
The beaters on the pedals are your standard two-way design, having a hard plastic side and a softer felt side.
However, it’s the pedals themselves that take the spotlight. They feel very smooth to play, but they also tend to boost the level of speed you can play it, feeling quite machine-like in their movements.
The major selling point is the pedal’s versatility. The fact that you can switch between chain drive or belt drive modes makes this pedal very user-friendly for all kinds of drummers.
You get more responsive with the belt drive mode, but the chain drive mode is the one that most people are used to.
We also love how you can switch between Accelerator and Turbo modes. These are two DW designs that are highly sought-after, and getting both of them with one pedal is awesome.
Again, this is one of the best pedals on the market. So, the performance quality it offers is epic. It just feels so natural under your feet, and the pedals always support you instead of holding you back, which is what some other pedals tend to do.

Since this is a DW pedal, it’s very expensive. However, the high price is justified considering all the design work that goes into the pedal.
When you play it, you can feel that it’s an expensive kick drum pedal. So, we think that the price-to-value ratio is actually quite good.
The DW company puts special effort into making the sturdiest and most durable hardware. All their hardware pieces also have intuitive designs, making them stand out compared to hardware from other brands.
The hardware is good because it’s designed to be better than all the competitors.
Most DW hardware has special features and unique designs. These designs are more expensive to create, so the hardware ends up costing more than most other pieces as DW needs to make a profit from their products.
We highly recommend getting this pedal if you can afford it. If you’re not someone who plays double bass drum patterns, you could get the single pedal version for a lower cost.
The high price will be well worth it when you find yourself still playing the pedal after ten years.
If you’re still not happy to buy it, you could get something a bit more affordable like the DW 5000, which is another hugely famous bass drum pedal.
