Gibraltar GCS375R Curved Rack Review:
What To Expect from This Rack
Quality
This rack has excellent design quality. While the curved structure doesn’t look like much at first, it makes such a difference when you have your drum kit set up.
It allows you to place all your drums and cymbals in highly ergonomic positions, and that helps with your overall posture and playing style.
The included cymbal arms also feel very solid when you have your kit set up.
Construction
The construction quality is fantastic, for the most part. The biggest benefit of this rack is that it’s a lot lighter and nimbler than others. That makes it much quicker to set up. For drummers that gig night after night, that’s incredibly ideal.
The downside of the rack is that it’s quite small. If you’re someone who plays on a mega drum set, the mounting arms aren’t going to be big enough to hold everything. It’s more of a rack designed to hold a standard-size drum set.
Also, the side arms have no support on one side, so we wouldn’t suggest loading them too much. One floor tom will be fine, but two may be pushing it.
Performance
Once the rack is set up, it feels incredibly sturdy. That makes it feel great to play on. The overall performance quality is fantastic, and it’s one of the biggest reasons that we’ll suggest this rack to different drummers.
You can always place a few free-floating stands around it to lighten the load on those unsupported arms on the side.
Price Value Ratio
This is one of the more affordable drum racks available, which is another reason for it being a compelling option. If you have a tight budget, you consider getting this over some of the more expensive options.
Drum racks can get seriously pricey, so it’s great to have racks like this available.
